Safety, health and holidays post Covid19, as per Lindbergh Hotels & Resorts
Are you planning a holiday in one of the properties of the Lindbergh Hotels & Resorts group? I imagine you are wondering what a holiday will be like in an extraordinary season like this one.
A seaside or city holiday is wellness, pleasure, relaxation. To be able to continue to offer this to you, we have completely overhauled our work! For now, there are few guidelines from the authorities. We have started to get organised. However, some changes could be made if we are given different guidelines.
In the meantime, we monitor the updates from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Italian Istituto Superiore della Sanità (ISS) on a daily basis, in order to adopt the suggested safety protocols in our Hotels & Resorts.

Our primary concern is the well-being and safety of our guests and staff, regardless of the circumstances.


CANCELLATION POLICY

In response to the uncertainties caused by the Covid-19 emergency, we have set up a special cancellation policy that we hope will encourage those who dream of booking a holiday with Lindbergh Hotels and Resorts.

Free cancellation, with no penalty, up to 24 hours from your arrival.

To thank all who desire to plan a holiday in one of the properties of the Lindbergh Hotels & Resorts group, despite the uncertainty caused by the Covid 19 emergency, we have decided to extend throughout the summer 2021 the special cancellation policy as we hope it can give you the serenity you deserve and let you book a holiday with Lindbergh without worries.

With the policy #BookwithoutWorries, your reservation can be canceled up to 24 hours before your arrival.
The following policy is valid for bookings confirmed for summer 2021.

All our offers, with discounted rates, require a deposit corresponding to 20% of the value of the entire stay, to be paid 7 days before arrival. The prepayment can be made by credit card or bank transfer. Cancellation is free of charge up to 7 days before arrival.

In the event of a cancellation after this date or in case of no-show, the deposit is non-refundable. Lindbergh Hotels & Resorts reserves the right to cancel the booking, in the event that health-socio-economic conditions do not allow the provision of services in the manner clarified in the DPCM.

In addition to our free cancellation policy (which allows you to cancel within 7 days of arrival or, with the #BookSerenly policy, to cancel up to 24 hours before check-in), we have decided to guarantee you cancellation of your booking without penalty and full reimbursement of your travel expenses (by boat, plane or train) up to 24 hours before your arrival at the hotel if just one member of your family or those staying with you is infected with Covid 19.

*INFORMATIVE NOTE
In order to cancel your booking, you must present (including as e-mail attachment) medical documentation proving that you are SARS COV-2 positive.
Reimbursement of travel expenses (incurred by means of travel by ship, train or plane) will be made via a voucher of the same amount, to be used in one of the Lindbergh Hotels & Resorts establishments, within 12 months of the issue date.



SANITARY SAFETY
 
Within the property, the Director identifies the staff responsible for the application and compliance with ANTI COVID 19 regulations; the entire staff will be adequately trained in anti COVID 19 preventive hygiene practices. Each employee, according to their professional role at the property, will receive a daily ANTI COVID kit that will guarantee that they can carry out their work in complete safety for the total number of hours per day. They will be asked to measure their temperature before leaving home to arrive at the property and not to go to work if the temperature does not comply with the regulations. Each employee will have his/her body temperature measured and recorded on arrival at the property.
 
All back house areas will be equipped with sanitising gel.


STAFF CANTEEN AND CHANGING ROOMS

In order to avoid contagion, no meals are provided to employees. Staff are allowed to bring their own meals from home in hermetically sealed containers.
The staff changing rooms have a limited and restricted entrance. Staff are able to change, but not to shower, which must be done at home. At the entrance to each changing room there is a photocell sanitising gel dispenser and single use gloves for those who need them. The changing rooms are disinfected twice a day.
 
CORRECTIVE ACTIONS to be taken for SYMPTOMATIC CASES

If a suspected case of COVID is found among the guests, we will immediately proceed to:

  • inform the local health authority;
  • have the guest wear: mask, goggles, one-piece coveralls and gloves
  • direct the guest to his/her room in order to avoid any contact with others;
  • close the room and ventilate it naturally;
  • switch off the air conditioning if possible.
  • provide the guest with waterproof bags where he/she can dispose of any handkerchiefs or other used personal hygiene materials

Staff members who have come into contact with the guest should:
  • wash hands and face with hydro-alcoholic solution;
  • pay attention to all body surfaces with which the host has potentially come into contact or fluid substances produced by the host.

Employees assisting a guest with suspected symptoms of COVID should:
  • wear the personal protective equipment mentioned above;
  • using a hydro-alcoholic solution for washing immediately after contact with the guest, avoiding contact with other people before washing.
  • Common areas should be disinfected in a timely manner.


SUSPECTED CASE OF COVID AMONG EMPLOYEES

In the event that an employee informs the property that he/she has symptoms of Covid, management shall:
  • immediately instruct the employee to stay at home;
  • proceed with increased disinfection of areas frequented by staff.

In both cases, surface sanitisation should be carried out using 0.1% chlorine water or 70% alcohol water solutions. All textiles should be washed separately from other linen at a temperature of 90°C with a detergent.
Sanitisation operations will be carried out by personnel wearing full protective equipment, and afterwards both the cleaning material and the equipment must be placed in separate bags for special waste disposal.
WELCOME AND RECEPTION
 
In order to ensure proper social distancing and avoid gatherings, the following procedures will be adopted:
  • On days with a high number of arrivals and departures, the check-in and check-out desks will be separated;
  • The online check-in system will be expanded and implemented;
  • The guests will be asked to send a scanned copy of their identity document by email, in order to speed up the check in and registration process;
  • Entry and exit routes from the reception area will be clearly defined and delineated;
  • A sign explaining basic hygiene procedures will be placed at the entrance of each reception area;
  • Dispenser of single-use gloves;
  • Dispenser of disinfectant with photocell;

We measure the body temperature of people entering the property.
  • The minimum distance to be maintained in the event of queues will be marked on the floor of each reception;
  • Each desk will be equipped with transparent Plexiglass to allow a clear separation between the guest and the receptionist;
  • Access to lifts may only be individual or at most only for the same household; the push-button panel of the same lift will be regularly disinfected;
  • The car must be parked by the car owner. If this is not possible, the parking attendant must wear gloves, a mask and aerate the car;
  • Every piece of equipment delivered to the guest will be disinfected beforehand and disinfected again when returned.

HYGIENE and procedures for HOUSE KEEPING
 

Our rooms have always been disinfected before the arrival of our guests. We will continue to do so with greater care. All spaces and what is touched most often such as lift buttons and handles are disinfected several times, every day.
 
The sanitation procedures, in detail, will be intensified as follows:

  • Disinfectant gel dispensers with photocells will be placed at the right distance in all common areas;
  • All common areas will be properly cleaned with suitable disinfection products;
  • The communal bathrooms will all be equipped with bactericidal soap and disposable or electric towels;
  • The cleaning and disinfection of the restrooms will be done every two hours by the staff.

CLEANING OF THE ROOMS
 

The entire staff responsible for cleaning the rooms will be equipped with the PPE required by current regulations:

  • Mask
  • Glove
  • Caps

 
The cleaning of the room will follow two different procedures:
 
ROOM DURING THE STAY: the cleaning procedure will be the standard one according to the company protocol;
ROOM ON DEPARTURE: the room will be disinfected with suitable and certified products.
 
In both cases, cleaning will cover all surfaces that come into contact with the guests.
The PPE of the guests will be disposed of separately.
All surfaces will be cleaned with specific products and single-use material or treated with 2% sodium hypochlorite.
In the case of rooms on departure, the minibar and the products in it will also be disinfected.
All amenities, where present, will be cleaned periodically and, in the case of rooms on departure, disinfected.

RECEPTION AND LOBBY AREA

All reception and lobby areas will be aired, cleaned and disinfected periodically (at intervals of maximum two hours). Surfaces in most contact with hands will be continually disinfected.

AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS

When the system is switched off, cleaning and disinfection will be carried out in accordance with the normal procedures set out in the HACCP regulations.
The ventilation grilles, on the other hand, will be disinfected periodically using clean cloths dampened with products with a concentration of 75% ethyl alcohol.

THE DINING SERVICE: FAR APART TO BE TOGETHER

From breakfast to dinner, we pamper you with the most suitable service in our restaurants. All our catering areas, whether indoors or outdoors, offer ample space to properly space the tables apart.
 
In addition to the normal PPE, catering staff will be issued with the following ANTI COVID devices:
 
  • Latex gloves
  • Aprons 

All surfaces will be disinfected continuously. Workstations will be arranged in such a way that workers never have to work alongside each other and, in any case, all workers will be provided with surgical masks and splash masks, both of which are for strictly personal use and in quantities that allow for replacement in accordance with current regulations.

SERVED BUFFET SERVICE

The dining service, at the properties that in the PRE COVID phase provided buffet or mixed service, will maintain this type of service with the conversion from self-service buffet to served buffet.
In order to guarantee the minimum spacing required, meals will be served with a double shift in the restaurant. At the same time, the closing time of the restaurant will be delayed by 30 minutes for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
 
Stands will be set up at the entrance to the restaurant with:
  • Sanitising gel
  • Disposable gloves
 
Every single guest entering the restaurant will have their body temperature measured using a scanning thermometer. Buffets will be set up along the walls of the restaurant with transparent Plexiglass.
 
Access and exit routes from the restaurant and access to the buffet will be identified along the floor and adhesive strips will be placed to ensure that safety distances are maintained.
 
Between shifts, all areas of the restaurant, including tables and chairs, will be thoroughly disinfected.

Table service

For table service, waiters will serve Guests wearing the Personal Protection equipment required by law. Menus will be disinfected before being handed to the guest.
Tables will be distributed throughout the room at the specified distances.  The table linen will be changed at each change of guest.
Between shifts, all areas of the restaurant, including tables and chairs, will be thoroughly disinfected.

Room service

Room service will be provided in disposable, hermetically sealed containers. Meals will be prepared in the kitchen by trained staff and taken by trolley to the guest rooms.
The trolley will be brought by the waiter, equipped with his personal protective equipment, to the entrance door of the room.

Take-away service:

The take-away service will be provided in hermetically sealed containers, which are suitable for take-away.
Meals will be delivered directly to the guest by the dining room staff, equipped with personal protective equipment.

The Bar

The following will be placed at the entrance to the bar:
  • Stand with sanitiser
  • Disposable gloves
 
The bar counter will be equipped with Plexiglass and the staff with:
  • Gloves
  • Masks

The entrance to the enclosed area of the bar will be restricted and strips will be placed on the floor to separate people within the bar. Orders for bar guests will be placed using single-use dishes. In the outdoor area, tables will be placed at the established distances. Access to the terrace of the restaurant will be restricted to seating only.

BEACH, ENTERTAINMENT, SPORTS AND SWIMMING POOL

As those who know us know, our Resorts enjoy the privilege of being set in unparalleled natural settings. Our wide, well-equipped sandy shores allow you to place your beach umbrellas at the right distance from each other, and all the large outdoor common areas, such as the gardens, terraces or pool area, allow for the optimal distribution of guests on holiday.

ON THE BEACH

The areas to access and exit the beach will be separated
Dispensers will be placed at the entrance area of the beach with:
  • Gloves
  • Sanitising gel
 
Sun loungers and umbrellas will be placed at the distance required by law and will be disinfected daily.
 
Activities on the beach will be done according to the rules; SPORTS: only those foreseen by the rules. BATHING IN THE WATER: only in the way foreseen.

ENTERTAINMENT AND SPORTS

All staff will be fully trained in ANTI COVID-19 procedures and precautions. All animators will be equipped with Anti-Covid Devices such as:
 
Sporting activities will be limited to only those sports that allow proper spacing such as:
  • Beach tennis
  • Beach soccer
  • Individual bocce
  • Ping pong
  • Individual foosball
  • Tennis
 
Several activities will be carried out at the same time in order to avoid gatherings.

RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES

Only activities that allow the required spacing in extremely large environments will be carried out:
  • Water aerobics in the sea
  • Gymnastics on the beach or in extremely large spaces
  • Group dancing with respect for distances

MINI & JUNIOR CLUB

Will it be possible to have the Mini Club this summer (children aged 4 to 14)? We do not know yet how it will be permitted. What we do know is that we will protect our children.
The activities will be guaranteed by dividing the children into groups. The maximum number of each group will be 6 children.
We will mainly use outdoor spaces and activities will be carried out in different areas in order to avoid mixing and mingling.

EVENING SHOWS

All evening performances will be held in the open air. In order to guarantee correct spacing, several areas will be used at the same time and several activities will be offered at the same time.

POOL

The areas to access and exit the pool will be separated.
The pool water will be treated with a 0.2 % chlorine solution and the presence of chlorine will be constantly monitored by an electronic injection unit.
Sun loungers and umbrellas will be positioned at the legally required distance.
Entrance to the pool will be restricted in order to guarantee compliance with the space requirements
Beach activities will also be carried out in the afternoon to avoid crowds.
Sun loungers and umbrellas will be disinfected every day.
 
Activities in the swimming pool will be carried out in compliance with the regulations; SPORTS: only those foreseen by the regulations. BATHING IN THE WATER: only in the manner as regulated.

SPA AND WELLNESS CENTRES

The entire staff of the spa will be extensively trained on ANTI COVID regulations and procedures. The work shifts will be arranged in an appropriate way, taking into account the demand by splitting into groups and avoiding crowds.
 
The entire staff of the SPA will be equipped with Anti Covid Devices such as:
  • Masks
  • Gloves
  • Coats

Spa Entrance – Reception

At the entrance to the SPA, you will find:
 
  • Gloves
  • Sanitising gel
 
No guest may enter the SPA without wearing gloves and a mask. Each guest will have his/her body temperature measured by a scanning thermometer.
The reception of the SPA will be equipped with transparent Plexiglas panels; the reception desk will be constantly disinfected, as well as all the areas of the wellness centres.
Contactless payments will be preferred and the use of cash will be avoided as much as possible.

Changing rooms and lockers

Only people who are not guests of the property will be allowed to enter the changing room and only one individual at a time.
The changing rooms and lockers will be constantly disinfected. The areas to enter and exit the changing room will be separated, if possible.

Wet area

At the entrance to the wet area, you will find:
  • Gloves
  • Sanitising gel
Access to the wet area will be restricted in accordance with the rules on distancing and the rooms will be constantly disinfected. The water in the swimming pool or whirlpool baths, if any, will be treated with a 0.2 % chlorine solution and the presence of chlorine will be constantly monitored by an electronic injection unit.

Treatment rooms

At the entrance to each treatment room, you will find:
  • Gloves
  • Sanitising gel

Each practitioner will be required to:
  • Wear a surgical mask
  • Wear a coat before each treatment
  • Wash hands thoroughly before and after treatment
 
At the end of each treatment, the cabin is thoroughly disinfected.



GYM

At the entrance to the gym, you will find:
  • Gloves
  • Sanitising gel
 
Access to the gym will be restricted in compliance with the distancing rules, and the rooms will be constantly disinfected and made available by appointment only to hotel guests. The gym areas will be constantly disinfected.

We would like to emphasise that all our work instruments will be sterilised by means of cold sterilisation using a safe, non-toxic and biodegradable broad-spectrum Antimicrobial Medical Device.

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY

For Nautilus: the highest (28 meters) and greenest wooden hotel in Europe. Naturally insulating and coming from forests with controlled regrowth, the wood used for the construction of Hotel Nautilus (788 cubic meters) was processed in laminated panels and assembled using only water-based glues. The result is a solid but flexible building with optimal humidity values and a load-bearing structure that can withstand fire longer and better than traditional reinforced concrete. In addition to robustness, there are also advantageous energy saving values in respect of environmental sustainability, a value to which we have always been particularly sensitive especially for a hotel that must maintain ideal air conditioning throughout the year. The natural insulating power of the wood in this case, minimizes the use of air conditioning in summer and heating in winter thereby maintaining optimal humidity values in each area of the building and reduces consumptions as well as environmental pollution.

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY

The J Hotel opened in November 2019 and is equipped with special environmental and surface sanitization equipment that were installed to ensure a healthy environment protected from contamination by bacteria, coronavirus, mold, VOCs, allergen germs such as dust mites, odor load control. In fact, we received a certificate of environmental sanitization and air ducts in the quality of sanitized air even before the spread of Covid-19 confirming our group's sensitivity to preserving the health and safety of the environment and people. The maintenance of these systems is carried out periodically by certified companies.
